Metal DC Contactor Family


Trombetta's Metal DC contactors are simple and robust workhorse devices. Sized to fit a variety of starter applications and pole configurations, these contactors can be used on anything from golf carts to stationary machinery. Their metal housings make them highly efficient and able to carry 125 amp current, with inrush capabilities over 500 amps, both continuous and intermittent.

This paragraph is designed to assist you with selecting the correct Metal DC Contactor for your application by defining each digit in the part number. One of our best selling models, the 974-1215-010, would be defined as a (9) Metal DC Contactor, with a coil connection configuration of (7) two non-grounded 10-32 studs, and a high current stud of (4) standard metals. The coil voltage is (12) 12 volts, with a bracket type of (1) standard bracket, and a bracket location of (5) 1.160” standard location. The duty cycle is (0) 100% continuous, the contact material is (1) copper, and the sealing is (0) no additional sealing.

For some of our Metal DC Contactors there may also be a final suffix of 09, as in part number 974-1215-010-09. The “09” denotes “assembled with hardware”. This means that the unit ships with washers and nuts on all of the studs, exactly like the contactor shown in the image at the top of the page.
